Direct Access Testing (DAT) is a service available at most of our locations:
- Main campus/Hospital
Monday - Friday, 7:30 a.m. - 7 p.m.; Saturdays and Sundays, 7:30 a.m. - 2 p.m. - Buena Vista Health Center
Monday - Thursday, 8 a.m. - 4:20 p.m.; Fridays, 8 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. - Custer County Health Center
Monday - Thursday, 8 a.m. - 4 p.m.; Fridays, 8 a.m. - 2 p.m. - Saguache Health Center
Tuesdays and Wednesdays, 9 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. by appointment only - call (719) 655-2531 to schedule. - Salida Health Center
Monday - Friday, 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. - South Park Health Care
Monday - Friday, by appointment only - call (719) 836-0334 to schedule.

DAT gives you the option to order selected lab tests on your own, from a limited DAT menu, without a physician's order.
Your payment for tests is required up front by cash, check or credit card, along with an address and phone number. Insurance is not billed. Results will be mailed to you within four days of collection, unless the situation is vital to your well being and requiring urgent medical attention by a physician. When this happens you will be notified immediately.
A waiver explaining DAT specifics must be reviewed and signed prior to the draw. Persons under 18 years old will require a parent or legal guardian to sign.
*If your lab work does NOT require fasting, it is advised to come in the afternoon as the mornings tend to be busy with individuals who are required to fast or must get their test in the morning. Afternoon wait times tend to be less.*
